Play Time!

Hello everyone, and good day! I am finally starting to get serious about Jacob's birthday party on Sunday. We ordered the cake today, finally, and it should be beautiful! Burger and my dad are picking up our new playset from my aunts house right now and should have it set up before sundown. We'll see how that goes! We have plans to pick up all the chairs and tables, and I should have no problem going to the store to get the food before Sunday! Everything is in place for now. I'm getting kind of excited! Can't wait to see everyone there! Or should I say here? Jacob is really excited that Daddy is bringing him a slide today! I don't know exactly what it looks like, but my aunt (who gave it to us) said it has a slide and some swings and a tunnel to go in the middle. Sounds like fun to me. Also, Sunday is supposed to be really hot and the party is outside in our backyard, so dress accordingly! I will have sunscreen available in case anyone forgets! Any how, I should keep plugging away at my chores! Hope everyone is having a good day, and we can't wait to see you at the party!

New Can...

This is my new garbage can! It's a little bit smaller than our old crappy one, but I still like it! It should work perfectly for our single-family needs! Just wanted to show it off. I know, I'm strange!

Jacob

This is Jacob at naptime. He really sleeps like that, funny huh? I just wanted to post this real quick before I forgot!

Tuesday

Today is Tuesday and I keep thinking that I need to get my house clean before the birthday party. Ugh, work was so busy today! Everyone except me was really late. We had 22 kids, 6 of them being babies 7 months old and younger. It was a crazy time, but we all survived. We didn't get home until 1 this afternoon and stopped at Wendy's on the way. I got Jacob a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets because I never know which one he's actually going to eat. I ate half of his cheeseburger. He fell asleep on the way home, so he hasn't had lunch yet. I ate a lot for lunch! Wendy's has the best chili and I always put it on top of a baked potato. Yum! Burger and I went to the movie with my dad last night. We saw Hancock. It was really good, and somewhat surprising! It was fun, we ate popcorn and soda. Typical movie night. Jacob stayed with my mom and also had a good time! And, to keep you updated, Burger came home early yesterday and took care of the spider! I looked Orkin up online and they had pages and pages of terrible reviews. So then I looked up 'do it yourself' pest control. Did you know that you can buy stuff like what the Orkin man uses and do it yourself? Cool. I think we are going to Menard's tonight to see what we can find. Also, I am buying a new garbage can! I know, what a weird thing to get excited about, right? But I am excited! I'm working on laundry right now and cleaning off my kitchen and coffee tables. Wish me luck! Hope everyone has a nice day!

We're doing good

We are doing good, as the title suggests! Burger worked until 3 yesterday and when he got home we went to Chuck E. Cheese to play. It was fun, but really busy there! Jacob loves that place. What kid doesn't? Burger was getting ready for work this morning and Jacob told him he couldn't go! I guess he wanted Daddy to stay home and play! We went to work and just got home and had soup for lunch. It was delicious! Jacob ate 1 whole bowl and half of another! When I was getting ready to make the soup, I saw the most terrifying thing ever. There was a spider on my counter. I am so grossed out. I killed it, of course. Actually, I trapped it in a Tupperware container for Burger to take care of when he gets home. It's one of those jumping spiders, and they're really hard to kill because they are hard to catch. Hopefully it doesn't escape, and if it does, hopefully I never see it again. It's probably plotting it's revenge on me... Ugh, I hate spiders so much. They scare the crap out of me. So now I don't want to go in my kitchen and I'm also thinking of bug-bombing the house, or something like that. I don't know. How much is the Orkin man to come every month? That would be easier than bug-bombing. I just got goosebumps, I don't want to talk about the spider anymore. Gross. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys! Deb's marker came in last week so we went to the cemetery and paid them, and it is now officially set. She finally has a marker! It's fabulous! We went last night, after Chuck E. Cheese's to check it out. It looks nice. We tried the vase, but it's stuck down in there so we have to go sometime when the cemetery is opened to talk to the office to have that fixed. But it shouldn't be a big deal! It just got jammed in there a little too tight, I think. So, that's there now, for everyone to see! Well, I hope everyone enjoys their Monday as much as I have thus far. Good day.

Sundays are Boring

As promised, these are the pictures of Jacob opening his birthday present from us. You can't really tell in the picture but the one where he's holding the shoes, his mouth is wide open in excitement! The Crocs have Thomas on them! He loves them! It was a good buy, as far as I can tell. Today Burger is at work, again. I don't know when he'll be home. They are staying until it's finished, so it might be awhile. No one knows for sure. Jacob and I just had a mid-morning snack of cold chicken and chocolate cake. He is a sight for sore eyes with his pajama shirt on and chocolate cake covering everything! He doesn't have pants on anymore, I'm not sure what happened to them! We're getting ready to give him a tub. I think we might venture out to Kohl's to see if they have anything we can't live with out! I need to get an area rug for under the couch. Now that our floors are wooden, the couch slides around all over the place. But, I haven't been able to find a rug that I love that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. Needless to say, I haven't looked real hard. But since Jake's birthday party is next weekend, and it's at our house... Well, I was thinking I should probably have a rug. I would hate for the couch to slide out from under someone when they try to sit! On second thought, that might be entertaining... Just teasing! I'm not that mean! Anyhow, I should get my wild chocolate boy into a tub before he destroys anything else! Have a good Sunday guys, and don't be too bored!

Overtime

Today is Saturday, and Burger is at work all day. I hate when he works weekends, because it doesn't even feel like a weekend! He worked until 7:30 PM last night and barely got to see Jacob. He is working an eight hour day today, and if they don't get it finished they're going in tomorrow, too. It's almost noon and Jacob and I haven't gotten anything done! Well, Jake had a bath and is in bed for a nap now. I'm still in my pajamas and getting ready to do some laundry. I will be dressed before Burger gets home, I promise! Jacob got to open his birthday present from Burger and me on Thursday night! I took pictures and will post them sometime later. He loves his present and was so excited! Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Random

Just had some more random thoughts today that I wanted to share with everyone. Burger got his class schedule today and we got lucky! He has no classes in February or March! So now we don't have to worry much about him being gone when baby is born! We also found the most perfect car seat we are buying for Jacob. We have been researching car seats that will hold him in a five-point harness longer, like up to 50 or 65 pounds. And I finally found the one I have been looking for! It's made by Graco, new last spring. It will hold him in the five point up to 65 pounds and then you can remove the harness and have a high back booster. After that, you can remove the high back and have a regular booster. It will be the last car seat the child needs! For the low low price of $150!! You can find it at Wal-Mart or online! I am so excited! Also just wanted to tell everyone that Jacob talks like a madman! This morning we were eating pop-tarts and he wanted to give me a bite of his and I told him, "No thanks, you can eat your pop-tart!" So he looks at me and asked, "Mom, you like pop-'arts?" He asks all the time, "What are we doin' here?" and "What is this for?" He is so funny and smart! He understands the answers, too. That's all I wanted to add for today! I Hope everyone has a nice night!

Swimming

I meant to post these a moment ago, but forgot! That's how you can tell I'm pregnant, I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached! Burger took these pictures of us at swimming lessons!

Delicious!

I was so hungry for a shredded beef enchilada today that I ordered to go from Carlos O' Kelly's! That was lunch today... Jacob didn't eat much of his, so I ended up eating almost 3 enchiladas! Yum, they were so good! I don't even feel that guilty for eating all 3 of them, that's how good they were! But, boy, am I stuffed now! Yesterday was Jacob's last day of swimming lessons. Both of my parents came to watch. He listened so well and it was a really pleasant swimming lesson! He got to try on a life jacket and he loved it! He likes to back float, which is unusual. The swimming teacher was surprised at his first lesson because he would back float while I held him up! He loves the water! Anyways, he got a certificate for 'passing' the level! He also got a sucker for his last day. We ordered Jacob's birthday present online and it came in the mail today! He is going to love it! I'm not sure we'll be able to wait for his birthday to give it to him! Burger and I tend to get overexcited! Mostly me... But it feels better to include Burger so that it's not always all my fault! Well, I think I might go take a short nap before picking up. I need to do laundry today for sure! We are going to the Farmer's market tonight to get some peaches, hopefully! So cross your fingers that it doesn't rain too much! Have a nice day everyone!

All in a Days Work

Today I was a very busy lady! Jacob woke up late this morning, but wanted to use the potty right away! He peed and got a Thomas sticker. He doesn't like the toilet at work and won't use it so we went to Wal-Mart tonight and got another potty seat so he can use it at work and I won't have to drag our at home back and forth. We bought the new one and when we came home he peed again! He is doing very well, and I owe it all to the sparkly Thomas stickers Grandma Hild found for us. He will do almost anything for a Thomas sticker! But, he sits on the potty and pees right away which tells me he knows what he's doing and how to do it properly. So no more excuses! Anyways, today I did the dishes, cleaned the table, picked up all the toys and swept the kitchen, dining room, and living room. I also did some laundry. I feel very accomplished. We had chicken enchiladas for supper. We bought them frozen from Target and I was so excited! But, they weren't very good. I just boiled some eggs for snacks! I'm kind of excited, but I forgot how to tell when boiled eggs were all the way boiled, so I'm a little nervous also! I boiled them for 11 minutes, so I'm thinking they should be good. The pictures of Jacob are from the other day. Saturday night, to be exact. He was eating chocolate pudding and decided to get creative. Have a nice night everyone!

Mondays

Today was a good Monday, so far. We went to work then my mom took Jacob and Kerry and I went to HuHots for lunch. I love that place. It makes any day a good day. I had a cherry coke with lunch and that was fabulous! Jacob is eating a sucker right now and also pretending to lick me. I am sticky. But he's cute, so he gets away with it! We have swimming at 5 tonight. Our original instructor is out of town so we have a sub. It should be interesting. Burger should be home in about a 1/2 hour and that's exciting! His reunion was interesting on Saturday. I didn't know anybody and I also don't care for bars much. I forgot about that until we got there. It was way too loud and I don't like drunk people, especially when I'm not one of them. Burger enjoyed himself, so that was nice at least. Well, I have some phone calls to make now so I should be going! Hope everyone has a good day!

I stand corrected

Yesterday my mom called and told me I was wrong. The picture of Jacob feeding the train is actually of him feeding Thomas and not Gordon. She clicked on the picture to see it better and low and behold, it is a #1 and not a #4. Sorry I lied, my friends. We have been lazy today and now Burger is bored so we are getting ready to go to the mall. His five year high school reunion is tonight and he's really excited! My mom is coming to be with Jacob so we can go to Waverly and see his old classmates. I'm kind of excited, too. Do regular people get excited about stuff like this? Jacob peed in the potty earlier. He told Burger he wanted to go potty, and he did! So he got to pick a special Thomas sticker as his prize. We are not pushing the potty, but I really think he's ready. He's very stubborn, just like his mommy and daddy. Wish us luck! Also, I am 7 weeks pregnant today. And now that I know I was sick last week and not just pregnant, I have been feeling fine! So, I'm pretty sure now that there's only one baby, and my guess is it's a boy. Have a nice day!

That's a Friday for ya...

The pizza last night was delicious, but strange. I ordered a 1/2 taco with black olives and 1/2 bacon cheeseburger. They brought me a 1/2 taco with no tomatoes and added bacon bits and 1/2 combo with extra black olives. I think the people people at Godfather's were a little distracted last night when they were making my pizza. We ate it anyways. Jacob slept in this morning until 8 AM and I thought maybe he was sick still so we didn't go to work. When he finally woke up, he's fine! Playing, eating, causing chaos as usual. I have a headache, but I think I'm OK! So the plan is to clean up the house and get laundry mostly done. I haven't gotten anything done yet and it's noon, but I'm thinking more seriously now. Wish me luck, and have a great day!

Sickness

This was lunch today. I know, I win worst mom of the year award. The worst part: he likes to eat them cold. Anyhow, I thought it was super cute that he was feeding it to Gordon the Train. Yeah, I can tell even from here that that train is Gordon and not Thomas even though they are both the same color blue. That makes me a better mom, right? We can forget about the cold hot dogs now, right? Anyways, today Jacob had a light fever so we left work early. I gave him some Advil and he's better, but he still looks pale. He's not eating much, but he's playing fine! Over the weekend and then Monday and Tuesday I didn't feel well and I thought it was just from pregnancy. I was kind of disappointed and hoping it didn't stay the whole pregnancy. But I think I was just sick was some sort of bug. Hate to say that I'm mostly relieved. Hopefully Jacob feels better soon and Burger doesn't catch it! Hope everyone has nice night! We ordered pizza for supper from Godfather's and Burger just walked in with it! Laters!

Fixed

Just wanted to update everyone on the evening. Jacob and I went to swimming lessons and Burger stayed home to fix the lawn mower. The mower was fixed and lawn mowed by the time we got home from lessons. What a rock star my husband is.

Glorious Day

Ah, the glory of a Wednesday. I usually like Wednesdays, I'm not sure why! Work wasn't the best today, but also not the worst. I am feeling a bit better today. I think I figured out the trick. This morning, when Burger got up to go to work I asked him if he would bring me some waffles to eat. So, I think the trick is to eat waffles in bed a half hour before I'm awake. The waffles were delicious and I feel a little more energized today! Jacob has swimming at 5 tonight, so we'll see how I'm feeling then! Burger's so great. He didn't even question me when I asked him to bring me food, he just brought it. He asked if I wanted two or one and if I wanted syrup (duh!) I have been thinking that maybe there are two babies, but Burger doesn't want to talk about it! He would be really excited if there was two, but I think it would take him longer to get used to that idea. I would be excited until I had two babies to feed every two hours! Burger thinks it's a girl, so the great gender debate is started. The point is, I feel better today. My dad drove my car and doesn't know why it's making that sounds. And no one knows about the lawn mower...

Exhausted!

I have been so tired! I can hardly move. It's disgusting. I don't remember being this tired when I was pregnant with Jacob. Maybe I just didn't notice so much since I didn't have him to keep up with. I'm lucky he's a good kid! Most of the time we just hang out, but every once in a while he gets a little crazy. Then it's hard for me to keep up. That was today. Also, the house cleaning has been stopped completely, for the most part. I need to do the dishes terribly but I just can't muster up the energy. I finally started some laundry after Burger got home and carried the heavy overflowing basket of dirty laundry down the stairs for me. I am so lucky to have a husband like him! He said he would do the dishes tonight after Jacob goes to bed. That would make my life so much easier! He doesn't know what it feels like to be barely pregnant, but he tries to empathize. The lawn mower is still broken and so is my car. If any handy people out there are ever slightly bored they are more than welcome to come here and help us fix our broken toys! Have a nice night everyone! And wish me luck and energy!

Sunday

Today was kind of a lazy Sunday. We did get some stuff done, but mostly we were lazy! Jacob went with Grandma Hild to pick out some big-boy underwear! He couldn't make up his mind so he got Thomas and Cars. He also got to pick out a train to play with. He picked James. Not that any of you normal people know which one James is. But, James is his favorite. He is red. He also like Harold the Helicopter quite a bit. Trains are his favorite! This picture he was being goofy. He was doing this and saying, "Upside down!" He is kind of hyper right now! I think it could be the candy Grandma let him pick at Target. Yeah, he got two packages of underwear, a train, and candy. He is such a lucky lucky boy! Burger and I cleaned our room today. It looks so much better! It was starting to get really cluttered and gross looking! It doesn' t anymore, now it looks clean. Like a regular room! Burger never mowed the other day. I went out to check the situation and the lawn mower wouldn't start. Burger looked it up online, but he doesn't know what's wrong with it! So, if anyone knows anything about lawnmowers... Back to work tomorrow. Yay. I wish I could sleep in everyday and hang out at home with Jacob all the time. I think I would get bored eventually, but it would really fun for awhile! I'm tired of going to the YMCA every morning and doing the same thing all the time! But, I guess that's what a job is... And considering jobs, I've got the better end of the deal. I suppose. Well, hope everyone had a good Sunday! Have fun at work tomorrow! I know I will...

Today

We went to Baby Owen's birthday party today. It was nice! Jacob picked the present we gave him, and (surprsie!) it was Thomas trains. They were bathtub toys, and they squirt water. They were cute! Owen liked them, and that's all that matters! Then we took Max to the groomer. He should be done in about 2 hours. He's going to be bald! Expect a picture of that later! Right now we're just hanging out inside and Burger is supposed to be mowing the lawn, but I don't hear a lawnmower... Maybe I should go check the situation! Hope everyone has a good day!

Tractors!

This boy LOVES his ride-on tractor! It's his favorite outside toy, with a close second being his toy lawn mower! He likes to play outside, but it's been so hot lately! Talk about heat wave! Anyways, we've had a good day so far! It's about 5pm so we still have a ways to go! We are on our way to the bank, then to get baby Owen a birthday present! It should be a nice night out with my family! Also, we'll probably stop and get a snack somewhere seeing how I can't go more than two hours without eating or I feel like I might die. Isn't it fun to be pregnant? Have a nice night everyone!

Swimming Time!

Grandma Hild brought the pool over yesterday afternoon! Jacob helped blow it up, then he got to swim in it! He had fun, but he got bored quickly and wanted to ride on his tractor. I got a lot of pictures! He loves to hang out with Grandma Hild! We ate at Carlos O'Kelly's last night and it was amazing! Jacob said he wanted chicken which I kind of questioned because he loves enchiladas! When they brought his chicken and fries he took one look at it and said, " I don't like this chicken." He specified, THIS chicken... So I shared my enchiladas with him and now I have some chicken for lunch today! We have swimming lessons tonight at 5pm. I need to make an appointment to get the dog shaved. His long hair is driving me crazy! It's everywhere, and it sticks to Jacob, it's disgusting. Totally grosses me out, so I am having him shaved. Also, my car is still making that noise when we drive. No one knows what it is, but if anyone has any ideas that we can try just let me know! I'm kind of getting desperate because the noise is getting worse and worse. Any ideas at all... We'll take them! Hope everyone has a good day!

Tired Tuesday

This is a preview of one of Jacob's birthday pics. I'm so excited about them! This is his dorky one! But I love the look on his face! He is such a funny boy. We just got home from work, and he is in bed right now. I am trying to think of something for lunch. I am so HUNGRY! I don't know what we're going to have though... If the weather stays cloudy we might go outside after lunch and work on some more pictures. I need a whole body shot, but that's kind of hard to get with my craziness! I'm working on laundry, and I'm exhausted! We had 4 babies at work today who all cried at the same time! They were each of them 3 months old. So, teeny tiny babies crying all morning. It was fun. Hope everyone has a good day!

Monday

Today was kind of a long day. Work was crazy busy, we had 20 kids come in! Usually we have about 10-15, so 20 seemed like a lot! Right after work, I went to the doctor. Our baby is officially 5 weeks and 3 days old! Estimated due date is March 6, 2009. My blood pressure was fine at the doctor's office, so hopefully no worries there! Jacob had his first swimming lesson today. We are the only people in the class and the teacher is an acquaintance of mine. It was really fun and we got to play with toy 'motorcycles' in the water. It was a boat, but Jacob wanted to call it a motorcycle. Close enough, right? Also, our little friend knows the difference between Thomas, James, Gordon, and Percy on the Thomas the Tank Engine show. Grandma Hild taught him that. He has a book that Bonnie bought for him, and he LOVES it! It has all the trains and buttons to push that make noise! He learned the train names from the book. Isn't it funny what kids pick up on? We had a nice day, but I'm kind of sad that it's only Monday. This could be a long week. Hope everyone else had a good day, too!

Lazy Sunday!

Today was a lazy lazy day! We laid in bed until almost 11 AM, and Jake laid with us and watched Clifford and Sesame Street (in Spanish then in English!) We ate cereal and doughnuts in bed then when we got up we had lunch. We ventured out to Menard's after Jake's nap and picked up a new garage door opener for Burger's car. We forgot to lock his car doors on Friday night and someone stole the garage door opener and some change. What kind of person would do that? We thought we were going to have to replace the whole thing, but then Burger looked it up online and found out that we could just change the code or something like that. So we just bought a new garage door clicker and all is well for now. Definitely won't forget to lock the doors again! Grandma and Grandpa Hild came and played for a little bit this evening. Now Jake is in bed and I'm heading toward my jammies, too. What a lazy day! Hope everyone had a good one! Night!

Lots to catch up on!

These are from our Fourth of July! We went to Burger's dad's house and this is the shirt he wore. Yes, it's true. We should be due sometime in the beginning of March, and Burger thinks it's a girl so Kiyrah might have some competition on the grandparent front! Just teasing. I know grandparents have more love than they can give! I have my appointment on Monday so I will be sure to keep everyone updated. I feel great, would never guess I was pregnant! Can't complain. The picture at the very top is Burger finishing the floor in the dining room. It looks fantastic! The sofa slides around really easy so we have to get some non-slip stuff to put on the bottom. Burger did the floor all by himself! He cut himself only twice, and half the time I was gone so he was even unsupervised! He's getting so big! I'm teasing again, he works really hard and does a great job! We need to put some trim up or something along the wall, but I don't know... Jacob picked out his birthday invitations today. They're a surprise. Definitely not the ones I wanted him to pick. Story of my life! Again, the party is being planned for August 3rd. That's a Sunday. Invites will be in the mail sometime towards the middle of July probably. I'm working on it. Well, I think that's it for today. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and I'm kind of looking forward to a nice day at home, watching movies and what not. Hope everyone has a good night!

Amazing

Last night we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie. It was amazing. Everybody should see it in the theater if they have the chance. We also ate at HooHots which is amazing as well. We had a nice evening together, me and my husband. We should really do that more often. Much love, everyone.

Oh Happy Days

Today is Tuesday, which means we are halfway to our weekend already! This is a good week! YesterdayBurger's brother came to visit and we had Dairy Queen (again!) Went to work today and now Jake is in bed for a nap. The pics I posted are of Burger and his lego tower and then Jake and his little friend playing cars in the dirt at the park! You can't really see the cars, but they're there, I promise! Tonight Burger and I are planning to see the new Indiana Jones movie. I'm kind of excited because Burger and I don't go out together alone very often! We could, we just don't! Grandma and Grandpa Hild love to come baby-sit and are more than happy to anytime! That;s nice to have family like that... Anyhow, I am going to get some cleaning done. Or something constructive at least! Have a good day, everyone!
